In general, dry cleaning is the preferred method of washing for pashmina and cashmere products. However, Pashmina can hand washed occasionally, however, hand washing with cold water and baby shampoo, before first use is recommended to make sure the natural vegetable dyes do not bleed.
Bleaching products should be avoided while rinsing pashmina products as they degrade the softness and the quality of Pashmina.
After washing, pashmina should not be please wring or tumble dry. Air drying, while avoiding direct sunlight, helps in preserving the color and softness of the fabric. Storage for longer durations is best done in moth proof paper.
