By way of techniques, the Kashmir shawl can be categorized into two main types- the loom woven or Kani shawls and the needle embroidered or Sozni shawls. It is very fine needlework and is carried out on Pashmina wool fabrics like Stoles/Scarves or Shawls/Wraps. One Sozni Jamawar shawl takes 12 months to 48 based on design & these are very expensive.
